U3 Package Prototyper

Quickly produce a prototyped U3 smart application so you can immediately evaluate the user experience of having an application run from a U3 smart device and under the management of the U3 Launchpad. This is a development tool for preliminary investigatory purposes only and does not produce a finished product.

The U3 Package Prototyper automates the process outlined in the Application Deployment Guide (part of the U3 Deployment Kit) on how to prepare an application execution from a U3 Launchpad. Once installed on a U3 smart drive, run the U3 Package Prototyper from the U3 Launchpad to evaluate the application. The U3 Package Prototyper includes Online Help.

U3Action 1.6.4.0

U3Action is a small, lightweight, standalone executable which greatly simplifies the process of developing software for the U3 smart device platform. It is a framework under which the application executes and is designed to address the most common application startup and shutdown actions as well as any configuration and cleanup activities required to successfully complete the U3 certification process.

Manifest Creator

The Manifest Creator is a GUI-driven application that helps you easily create the manifest file necessary for your U3 smart application. With this new tool, you simply input the required information into a GUI. The Manifest Creator will then generate the UUID for the application, generate the .u3i file, and validate that manifest against the U3 Manifest Schema. Used in conjunction with U3Action, the Manifest Creator helps you experiment with and find the U3Action options that best support your application.
